Akebono-ya's Small Net: The Phantom Cast Net

Synopsis

Shoji's grandfather, ignoring the bad leg he should be resting, collapses while throwing the cast net. The one who tends to him is Shinji, a young man chasing a career as a singer-songwriter. Actually, Shinji is the heir of an Akaneya-style ayu master family, a tradition stretching back 300 years to the Tokugawa era. Stuck in his songwriting, he has been wandering the country. At Shoji's grandfather's request, Shinji throws his net, and Sanpei — captivated by its beauty — tries it himself, only to find he can't get it right.
