Taking Aim at the Legitimate Heir

Synopsis

Sent as an assistant to the Kekkaishi, Shishio doesn't recognize Yoshimori's or Tokine's ability at all. But when the Ōkubiguruma appears at the Karasumori school and attacks with the blades of its high-speed spinning wheels, even Shishio struggles and is wounded. As a "half-ayakashi," however, Shishio shows a remarkable recovery thanks to the ayakashi power within him. Yoshimori reads even Shishio's movements and instantly seals the Ōkubiguruma in a barrier, finishing it off. Shishio has no choice but to acknowledge his ability as the legitimate heir. Meanwhile, from information let slip by the Ōkubiguruma before it vanishes, the schemes of those who have placed bounties on the Kekkaishi and are sending ayakashi into Karasumori come to light.
