Posuka Demizu

Posuka Demizu, born on 17 January 1988 and based in Tokyo, is a Japanese manga artist, illustrator, and designer best known for drawing The Promised Neverland. She appeared on the manga scene in 2008 with a mini-series for CoroCoro Comic, has worked with children's magazines, video game companies, and the studio J.C.Staff, and debuted as a manga artist proper in 2013 with Oreca Monsters Adventure Retsuden, based on the Oreca Battle card game. From 2016 she collaborated with the writer Kaiu Shirai on The Promised Neverland, which ran in Weekly Shōnen Jump from August 2016 to June 2020; Shirai had planned to draw it himself, but his editor doubted he could sustain both roles, and after a trial one-shot titled Poppy's Wish the pairing proved successful. Her illustration collections The Art of Posuka Demizu Pone and Postcard Planet appeared in 2016 and 2021.
