Synopsis
A red crucian carp that Ikkyū gave to Kikyoya is auctioned off to the general at a high price. Before delivery, the fish dies, and the general—who had been reflecting on his wasteful spending—is secretly relieved. But he becomes furious at Kikyoya for charging so much for something obtained for just one dumpling.
